Jaci
Registered Psychologist
Hi, I’m Jaci!
I get to be with people in some of their most authentic moments and help them make meaning of their life experiences. I love that we can create a safe, non-judgmental space together where they feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
Friendly, down-to-earth, approachable, and calm.
Our sessions gently guide you to build thoughtful self-awareness, connect with your present-moment experience, and understand how your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations interact.
My approach is integrative, drawing on my experience and training across a range of therapeutic modalities, including:
Person-Centred Therapy
Somatic and Embodiment Work
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Gestalt Therapy
Parts Work (Internal Family Systems Therapy)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Together, we'll develop a deeper understanding of your embodied experience, making sure that no part of your inner world remains unseen.
I value helping clients develop greater self-awareness, connect with their present-moment experience, and better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations interact.
Gestalt therapy supports clients in becoming more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and patterns as they arise in the present moment. Somatic-based approaches help us recognise and explore the deep connection between the mind and body.
I'm drawn to these approaches because they support healing and personal growth in a holistic, compassionate way.
~ Jaci
My approach is to ensure you feel comfortable, emotionally safe and never rushed or assessed.
By being deeply present and genuinely curious, I create a space where you can set the pace of the session, allowing us to build trust, genuine rapport, and a deeper understanding of your experience.
I’m warm, grounded, and collaborative, bringing a steady sense of calm into the room. My intention is to create a spacious, supportive environment where you feel genuinely listened to and have the freedom to explore every part of your experience.
I’m naturally curious and calm, helping to create the sense of safety and presence needed to navigate challenges and gently explore your inner world.
I focus on helping clients feel comfortable enough to show up exactly as they are, without pressure or judgement. I bring a calm, gentle presence and a good sense of humour to our work together. For me, the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the process, and building genuine rapport begins with being authentic, open, and non-judgemental.
I value warmth, attunement, and a sense of calm, and I strive to bring these qualities into every therapeutic relationship.
I take a non-directive approach, meaning I won’t tell clients what they should or shouldn’t do.
I generally don’t use worksheets or assign ‘homework’, although if it feels helpful, I may suggest skills or practices to explore between sessions.Rather than relying heavily on one specific therapeutic modality, I draw on relevant elements from a range of approaches, tailoring my work to the unique needs and experience of each client.

Navigating stress as a Highly Sensitive Person
For many people, stress stems from the pressure to conform to societal norms, hide emotions, and mask their true selves. This can be especially true for individuals who identify as Highly Sensitive People (HSPs). Highly sensitive people tend to process information deeply, experience emotions intensely, and can become more easily overwhelmed by sensory input.
HSPs may also struggle with people-pleasing and prioritising the needs of others over their own. We can work together to help you embrace who you truly are and develop strategies that support your wellbeing. Learning to set healthy boundaries is an important part of protecting your emotional wellbeing as an HSP.

You were the responsible one, the peacekeeper, the one who read the room so everyone else didn't have to. Your feelings were dismissed, minimised, or simply never asked about. As an adult, you find yourself doubting your own instincts, over-explaining yourself, or feeling guilty for having needs at all. Therapy offers a space to finally make sense of what you experienced and understand how it may still be shaping you today.

Common themes women in midlife bring to therapy include:
Navigating relationship dynamics with partners, children, and extended family.
Experiencing grief and loss following the death of parents, changes in friendships, or the transition into an empty nest.
Managing work-related stress and career changes.
Re-evaluating past decisions and coming to terms with regret or lost opportunities.
Coping with physical changes and their impact on health and identity.
Clients often share how lonely it can feel to appear as though they're holding everything together while, on the inside, they feel disconnected.
Therapy offers a space where you can be open and focus on what you want for yourself.

Common challenges expats may experience include:
Homesickness or feeling disconnected.
Relationship or family strain following relocation.
Feeling lonely, isolated, or misunderstood.
Grieving the loss of community, family, and familiarity.
Feeling guilty about leaving family behind.
Experiencing anxiety or low mood during the adjustment period.
Counselling provides a space to reflect on your experiences, rebuild a sense of emotional stability and self, and integrate your past, present, and future in a meaningful way. Therapy can also provide practical strategies for reducing anxiety, stress, and overwhelm, navigating everyday challenges, and maintaining relationships across distance.

Maybe you've been running on empty for a while. Perhaps you're the person everyone else leans on. You might look like you're coping, but inside you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected.
An integration of talk-based and somatic (body-based) practices can help you understand your emotions and begin relating to yourself with greater compassion. Sessions move at your pace and offer space to explore your emotions, notice patterns, and make sense of what may be keeping you stuck.
5 Focus Areas
Life can feel overwhelming at times. If you're struggling, feeling stuck, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
Most of us will need a little extra support at some point in our lives. Reaching out for therapy isn't a sign that something is wrong, it's an opportunity to better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges, and move forward with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Let’s start here
I know that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, especially if you've felt misunderstood or overlooked in the past. It can also be the beginning of meaningful change.
Whether you're seeking support for a specific challenge or simply want to understand yourself more deeply, I'm here to offer a safe, supportive space where we can explore your experience together.
My goal is to offer a warm, supportive space where you feel safe to explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace.
