My unique magic

One of my greatest strengths is being able to hold space for deep, intense and overwhelming emotions. I provide a safe space for you to bring your whole-self into the room and leave nothing unsaid. Often, clients practice authentically being themselves in counselling, for the first time.

It is a truth that a therapist can only hold you as deeply as they have gone themselves, and my clients often note that they can completely fall apart in session and truly share what’s on their heart, while feeling resolved and relieved at the end of the session.

Working with clients’ emotional world is central to my practice, as well as privileging courage, vulnerability, resilience and authenticity as values that guide our work together.

I’m effective at getting to the core of issues, providing pragmatic guidance and helping clients put themselves together again after feeling like they’ve fallen apart or lost their way.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you develop a strong sense of Self so that you can love, trust and rely on yourself while navigating life and relationships.

I make a conscious effort to constantly check in with you, ask for feedback, and explore how your nervous system and body are responded in our sessions, making sure you’re safe at all times.

From a trauma-informed perspective, I believe slow and steady approach keeps clients emotionally safe, and I will never, ever ask you to talk about something you don’t want to, or aren’t ready for

There are a lot of therapists out there, with a lot of fancy titles and degrees and letters after their name. But many therapists make you feel like a number on a conveyer belt, and that’s why so many clients don’t continue therapy and leave feeling diappointed.

I’ve made it my mission to create bespoke, unique and customised therapy for my clients, who often tell me they feel like my only client.

I can’t stand one-size-fits all approaches or therapists who don’t make an effort to get to know you. Many of my clients come to me after not getting along with their previous therapists and finding therapy not helpful.

I know that the most important factor in you having a successful therapy journey is the relationships you have with your therapist. You need to build trust, respect and feel safe with your therapist, for the journey to be beneficial.

It doesn’t matter if a therapist has 100 degrees or the most knowledge in the world: If you do not get along with them or feel comfortable with them, all of their strategies will fall on deaf ears (and an uneasy nervous system).
